Copy Diva: Does small business care about social media?

  • RogerJH · 2 months ago
Good question, Robin! At Harris Social Media, I specialize in providing social media strategy to small business, and I find that most do indeed care about social media. In many ways, I see that social media is becoming more and more relevant to small business. Social media is about the community sharing information through online technologies. Small businesses depend on personal relationships and localized branding even more than big business. The key is to develop strategies and tactics that are appropriately scaled for specific situations. Small businesses need to realize that what works for big business may not be the best solutions for them. In that case, it is smart to get the expertise needed to define the audience, figure out the best platforms and tailoring of appropriate messages.

Thanks for your thoughts. I agree that there are applications that for
some small businesses make more sense than other marketing. But for
most, the tried-and-true of online marketing still hasn't trickled
down to the small business. Hopefully, we are helping to change that.
