Copy Diva: Business rules of engagement in social computing: Starting with Twitter

I think you're on the right track here-- it's hard to keep a balance, especially if you're a narcissist AND a shameless self-promoter, AND your tweets are both for personal and professional reasons (guilty).

I've thought about creating a separate Twitter stream for my business, but part of what makes me, um, me, and part of what adds credibility to WideFoc.us is the fact that I am my brand.

All that said, I don't think every single tweet must be a gem of relevance, but I do think we could all be a bit more focused in how we tweet.

    So, my additions:
    1. No need to tweet "Good morning" or "Good night."
    2. Links to worthwhile URLs (your work or others) adds value to any Twitter update
    3. Listen to feedback from friends and colleagues, but ultimately do what you want.

    Thanks, CopyDiva!

One more to add to your suggestions Eric, is thanking people for following you. It seems like a weird waste of time to me.
